第1段
| 中文 | 你们心里不要忧愁。你们信神，也当信我。 |
| 英文 | Let not your heart be troubled: ye believe in God, believe also in me. |

| 中文 | 在我父的家里，有许多住处。若是没有，我就早已告诉你们了。我去原是为你们预备地方去。 |
| 英文 | In my Father's house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. |

| 中文 | 我若去为你们预备了地方，就必再来接你们到我那里去，我在那里，叫你们也在那里。 |
| 英文 | And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also. |

| 中文 | 我往那里去，你们知道。那条路，你们也知道。（有古卷作我往那里去你们知道那条路） |
| 英文 | And whither I go ye know, and the way ye know. |

| 中文 | 多马对他说，主阿，我们不知道你往那里去，怎吗知道那条路呢。 |
| 英文 | Thomas saith unto him, Lord, we know not whither thou goest; and how can we know the way? |

| 中文 | 耶稣说，我就是道路，真理，生命。若不藉着我。没有人能到父那里去。 |
| 英文 | Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me. |

| 中文 | 你们若认识我，也就认识我的父。从今以后，你们认识他，并且已经看见他。 |
| 英文 | If ye had known me, ye should have known my Father also: and from henceforth ye know him, and have seen him. |

| 中文 | 腓力对他说，求主将父显给我们看，我们就知足了。 |
| 英文 | Philip saith unto him, Lord, shew us the Father, and it sufficeth us. |

| 中文 | 耶稣对他说，腓力，我与你们同在这样长久，你还不认识我吗。人看见了我，就是看见了父。你怎吗说，将父显给我们看呢。 |
| 英文 | Jesus saith unto him, Have I been so long time with you, and yet hast thou not known me, Philip? he that hath seen me hath seen the Father; and how sayest thou then, Shew us the Father? |

| 英文 | Believe me that I am in the Father, and the Father in me: or else believe me for the very works' sake. |

| 英文 | Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do; because I go unto my Father. |

| 中文 | 我要求父，父就另外赐给你们一位保惠师，（或作训慰师下同）叫他永远与你们同在。 |
| 英文 | And I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter, that he may abide with you for ever; |

| 英文 | I will not leave you comfortless: I will come to you. |

| 英文 | Yet a little while, and the world seeth me no more; but ye see me: because I live, ye shall live also. |

| 中文 | 到那日，你们就知道我在父里面，你们在我里面，我也在你们里面。 |
| 英文 | At that day ye shall know that I am in my Father, and ye in me, and I in you. |

| 中文 | 有了我的命令又遵守的，这人就是爱我的。爱我的必蒙我父爱他，我也要爱他，并且要向他显现。 |
| 英文 | He that hath my commandments, and keepeth them, he it is that loveth me: and he that loveth me shall be loved of my Father, and I will love him, and will manifest myself to him. |

| 英文 | These things have I spoken unto you, being yet present with you. |

| 中文 | 但保惠师，就是父因我的名所要差来的圣灵，他要将一切的事，指教你们，并且要叫你们想起我对你们所说的一切话。 |
| 英文 | But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you. |

| 英文 | Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid. |

| 英文 | And now I have told you before it come to pass, that, when it is come to pass, ye might believe. |

| 英文 | Hereafter I will not talk much with you: for the prince of this world cometh, and hath nothing in me. |

| 中文 | 但要叫世人知道我爱父，并且父怎样吩咐我，我就怎样行。起来我们走吧。 |
| 英文 | But that the world may know that I love the Father; and as the Father gave me commandment, even so I do. Arise, let us go hence. |
