旧约 - 箴言(Proverbs) 第26章


第1段

中文 夏天落雪,收割时下雨,都不相宜。愚昧人得尊荣,也是如此。
英文 As snow in summer, and as rain in harvest, so honour is not seemly for a fool.

第2段

中文 麻雀往来,燕子翻飞,这样,无故的咒诅,也必不临到。
英文 As the bird by wandering, as the swallow by flying, so the curse causeless shall not come.

第3段

中文 鞭子是为打马。辔头是为勒驴。刑杖是为打愚昧人的背。
英文 A whip for the horse, a bridle for the ass, and a rod for the fool's back.

第4段

中文 不要照愚昧人的愚妄话回答他,恐怕你与他一样。
英文 Answer not a fool according to his folly, lest thou also be like unto him.

第5段

中文 要照愚昧人的愚妄话回答他,免得他自以为有智慧。
英文 Answer a fool according to his folly, lest he be wise in his own conceit.

第6段

中文 藉愚昧人手寄的,是砍断自己的脚,自受损害。(自受原作喝)
英文 He that sendeth a message by the hand of a fool cutteth off the feet, and drinketh damage.

第7段

中文 瘸子的脚,空存无用。箴言在愚昧人的口中,也是如此。
英文 The legs of the lame are not equal: so is a parable in the mouth of fools.

第8段

中文 将尊荣给愚昧人的,好像人把石子包在机弦里。
英文 As he that bindeth a stone in a sling, so is he that giveth honour to a fool.

第9段

中文 箴言在愚昧人的口中,好像荆棘刺入醉汉的手。
英文 As a thorn goeth up into the hand of a drunkard, so is a parable in the mouth of fools.

第10段

中文 雇愚昧人的,与雇过路人的,就像射伤众人的弓箭手。
英文 The great God that formed all things both rewardeth the fool, and rewardeth transgressors.

第11段

中文 愚昧人行愚妄事,行了又行,就如狗转过来吃他所吐的。
英文 As a dog returneth to his vomit, so a fool returneth to his folly.

第12段

中文 你见自以为有智慧的人吗,愚昧人比他更有指望。
英文 Seest thou a man wise in his own conceit? there is more hope of a fool than of him.

第13段

中文 懒惰人说,道上有猛狮,街上有壮狮。
英文 The slothful man saith, There is a lion in the way; a lion is in the streets.

第14段

中文 门在枢纽转动,懒惰人在床上也是如此。
英文 As the door turneth upon his hinges, so doth the slothful upon his bed.

第15段

中文 懒惰人放手在盘子里,就是向口撤回,也以为劳乏。
英文 The slothful hideth his hand in his bosom; it grieveth him to bring it again to his mouth.

第16段

中文 懒惰人看自己,比七个善于应对的人更有智慧。
英文 The sluggard is wiser in his own conceit than seven men that can render a reason.

第17段

中文 过路被事激动,管理不干己的争竞,好像人揪住狗耳。
英文 He that passeth by, and meddleth with strife belonging not to him, is like one that taketh a dog by the ears.

第18段

中文 人欺凌邻舍,却说,我岂不是戏耍吗。他就像疯狂的人,抛掷火把,利箭,与杀人的兵器。(杀人的兵器原文作死亡)
英文 As a mad man who casteth firebrands, arrows, and death,

第19段

英文 *So is the man that deceiveth his neighbour, and saith, Am not I in sport?

第20段

中文 火缺了柴,就必熄灭。无人传舌,争竞便止息。
英文 Where no wood is, there the fire goeth out: so where there is no talebearer, the strife ceaseth.

第21段

中文 好争竞的人煽惑争端,就如馀火加炭,火上加柴一样。
英文 As coals are to burning coals, and wood to fire; so is a contentious man to kindle strife.

第22段

中文 传舌人的言语,如同美食,深入人的心腹。
英文 The words of a talebearer are as wounds, and they go down into the innermost parts of the belly.

第23段

中文 火热的嘴,奸恶的心,好像银渣包的瓦器。
英文 Burning lips and a wicked heart are like a potsherd covered with silver dross.

第24段

中文 怨恨人的用嘴粉饰,心里却藏着诡诈。
英文 He that hateth dissembleth with his lips, and layeth up deceit within him;

第25段

中文 他用甜言蜜语,你不可信他,因为他心中有七样可憎恶的。
英文 When he speaketh fair, believe him not: for there are seven abominations in his heart.

第26段

中文 他虽用诡诈遮掩自己的怨恨,他的邪恶必在会中显露。
英文 Whose hatred is covered by deceit, his wickedness shall be shewed before the whole congregation.

第27段

中文 挖陷坑的,自己必掉在其中。辊石头的,石头必反辊在他身上。
英文 Whoso diggeth a pit shall fall therein: and he that rolleth a stone, it will return upon him.

第28段

中文 虚谎的舌,恨他所压伤的人。谄媚的口,败坏人的事。
英文 A lying tongue hateth those that are afflicted by it; and a flattering mouth worketh ruin.
